[[..Member Inquiries..]]
Nathanial (TiefIing)
Q: Is the Healers Department only open for new registants? Or can enhancer orders also be completed?
A (Leoperdis): For the meantime, it will only be for new healers to test. All other aspects will be put into order soon.
Mikael (RedDracuhn)
Q: As far as the Healers Administration being reopened, when will the Healer Chancellor positions become available?
A (Leoperdis): Openings for applications will be very soon, less than a week or so.
Ozmodaus (Ozmodaus)
Q to Nathanial: Does that mean Nathanial is the Master Smith once more?
A (TiefIing): It does not. The announcement is best left for Chris to make and for him to speak on this matter.
Amber (BlodAssassin)
Q: Would like to know when she will hear on the issue filed with the Chancellors quite a time ago.
A (Leoperdis): The nature of the issue has been addressed on several occassions already. The outcome is unlikely to change. The
issue can only be revisited so many times before it is known that changes are not going to happen. So the issue needs to close.
Nathanial (TiefIing)
Q: In regards to matches, once a match begins (init rolled), do the rules of the match apply? Including the action rule, even
if the first round is not completed?
A (Leoperdis): The rules are in effect at that time.
Q (TiefIing): So if one of the combatants fails to act within the time of the action rule, the match it forfeit?
A (Leoperdis): Correct.
Cyana (CyanaMerc1)
Q: If the init starts the actual time the rule is applied, someone needs to revise the proctoring guidelines. If you are calling
a punt action rule, it is assumed that it begins at that time, which is before the init to agree to terms.
Response (Leoperdis): For as long as she has known, once init is made, the rules for engagement are locked in place, but it will
be looked at.
Kit (XIXKitIX)
Q: So the rule actually is the action and punt rules are first in place once init is called for, not when the proctor says the
rules are in place?
A (Leoperdis): Init signals several things. It confirms readiness, agreement to terms, and that at that time, they are in
agreement to play by those terms.
Cyana (CyanaMerc1)
Q: Wouldn't it be easier than to ask for the punt/action rule after init? Before the first round begins to start the clock?
A (Leoperdis): The clock should begin to count from the moment the proctor signals to begin round one.
Ember (VvLadyEmbervV)
Q: Asking clarification - no one is locked into a match until init is rolled? So if someone punts or actions out before init,
then it does not matter?
A (Leoperdis): It does matter if the challenge was made and accepted. The match must still take place. Someone cannot escape a
match completely by stating they were punted.
Q: When are you locked into the match?
A (Leoperdis): Once someone is challenged and agrees to the match, it must take place.
Vincent (VincentSValentin)
Q: Concerning a recent letter that was sent out. It gave praise to the individual, but at the bottom stated that if the
individual were accepted into any guild, the writer of the letter would declare war on the accepting guild. Is this an
appropriate type of letter that should be sent out.
A (Leoperdis): Members should never use the AoRG mailstrings and resources to slander someone. This individual will have to
answer to the Chancellory on why they exploit the listings and how little respect they have for AoRG.
Angelic (XAngelicRegretX)
Q: Wishes to know if anyone can teach a class or if there are requirements.
A (Leoperdis): Certain departments have different requirements, so please contact the Chancellors of the department you are
interested in for more information.
Minya (MinyaDkbld)
Statement: Raz has ruled that in order for a math to be valid, for anyone to earn VP from it, a full round must be fought.
This means is someone forfeits or is punted before their action before round 1 is fought, the match is void. The 24-hour
challenge rule does still apply. For Mass Spars, for a participant to earn the 1 VP for DQing, they must have participated
in the first round of combat. If they depart before their action, they earn nothing.
Kyttea (Leoperdis)
Statement: It is all understood, Minya. The init has been, for many years, the official point of legal engagement.
Nathanial (TiefIing)
Request: Please sent out a copy of this Ruling by Raz, as the records have not been given to the GC's of the guilds of the forum.
Raven (Ravensilvr3)
Q: Why is it that when something has been decided amongst the Chancellors, it has to be drug out at a meeting instead of
distributed to the population?
A (Leoperdis): Some decisions have been sent to the GC's or placed in newsletters to distribute to their members. We can look at
perhaps creatinga more complete process, but those are the two sources currently used
Nathanial (TiefIing)
Q: Who is all allowed to contest a match? Are persons not involved in th match allowed to contest? Or is it only the fighters?
Can the healers or mages or bystanders? Or even the GC that sees it later?
A (Leoperdis): Only combatants have the rights to contest a match. GC's should train members well enough so they do not have
to step in at all. There are going to be ties when something is not fair, but that is rare and any combatant has a right prior
to a match to ask about the terms being clear to them.
Cyana (CyanaMerc1)
Observation: Having been in the forums a long time, she has noticed that the forum has been crumbling. Guild policies mean more
so than the guild members. When will it stop? When will each one of us stop pointing fingers and toe the line? A small few are
trying and working their fingers to the bone to make it livable and are burning out because of all the BS. Take a look around and
stand for what is right, not just for yourself, but for all.
Minya (MinyaDkbld)
Comment: Adding to Kyttea's comment, only the combatants have the rights to contest a match, but any participant has the right to
file a complain on the issue.
