--Wishes to remind everyone that due to a new Riley Clan member soon approaching, the newsletter will be published a day early, and any announcements will need to be in by noon on Sunday, July twenty-second.

Chief of Staff - Kyttea (Leoperdis)
--The current Smithy Chancellor, Chris, shall be retiring with honors shortly. We appreciate his fine work and devotion to the administration throughout his career.
--As an optio, Nathanial will have the choice to decline or accept to step up into the position, which we understand he shall gladly take on.
--This also means the Smithy Assistant Chancellor will be available, so please keep your eyes open for the application time to open.

Events Administration - Minya (MinyaDkbld)
--Wishes to remind everyone again that openings for new event have been non-existent since April, and that a number of guilds have not had the opportunity to host yet. Asks if guilds that are currently not cohosting and have events approved for the remainder of the year could please consider co-hosting with either a new guild or a guild that has only hosted once this year.
--Also, when getting ready to send out flyers for an event, please ask for a correct mailstring so the appropriate contacts for the guilds will receive it.

Smithy Administration - Nathanial (TiefIing)
--Half a month has past and there are only a few items crafted for the Smithy Sale. A reminder to all registered smiths that the deadline for submissions is the thirty-first.

Justice Administration - Bekkah (Bekkah420)
--Just to FYI, even though she is not a part of the Chancellory, she is still helping out the Justice Department, such as with tests and contracts while Glacia is out and the department is staffed once again.

Magic Shop Administration - Jasmine (VvJasmineNytevV)
--FYI that the Magic Shop will be up and running again smoothly since she is now returned. Please igve her a day or two to get out Advances, New Rosters, and so forth.

Q: For the Smithy Sale, no healing enhancers can be sold? Is it only weapons and armor?
A (TiefIing): As Healing Enhancers and Magical Enhancers are not the domain of the Smithy, there will only be weapons and armors in the sale.

Statement: Wishes to reiterate that everyone should know the rules and protocol for the meetings and to shove it. There isn't to be any conversation or fidgeting unless you have the floor.
Response (RedDracuhn): With all due respect, he wishes to tell Cy it is not her job to instill order and to let the chancellors handle such things.

Q: Concerning Smithy Sales, not everything was sold for the Spring Sale, will the leftover items and new itmes be actually discounted this sale, as most expect "Sale" to mean discounts offered?
A (TiefIing): The word sale has many meanings, but the enhancers still remaining from the Spring Sale will be offered at a slightly discounted rate.

Q: One item per Smith?
A (TiefIing): Yes, one smith may submit one item per sale.
Q (RedDracuhn): So if the deadline ends and there is only a small amount of items to be sold, would the deadline be extended and the smiths allowed to craft more?
A: A month is alloted, and at this time, there is no need to extend the deadline.

Q: Is it possible to learn the status of a person within the Smithy, in relation to orders completed and items that have been sold, so that the smith is aware of how soon a promotion is in the future?
A (TiefIing): If the person asking is the person being asked about, yes.
Q (RoosSalvasti): Has there been any thought to perhaps once or twice a year sending out notices to the smiths to keep them informed of their progress?
A (TiefIing): It has never been considered before, but will be taken into consideration from now on.

Q: Concerning the one item per Smith, will there be enough items to offer all of the guilds, or is it a first-com-first-buy sale and when they are gone, it is over?
A (TiefIing): If has always been on a first-come-first-buy. The sales are set up more to allow the smiths a change to make something of their own will, not merely craft something a guild wants.
Q (DonovanLeVey): This being my first sale, how is an order commenced?
A (TiefIing): The first to contact the Smithy via a letter of interest in an item, provided their guild can afford the purchase, will receive the itme.

Q: As someone who has not been in the Smithy all that long and have not heard much of this sale since early last month, am I allowed to make either an offensive or defensive enhancer of my choosing or do I need to wait for an order? Also, when I have made my enhancer, how do I go about turning it in to be sold?
A (TiefIing): IN regards to the sale, you may make whatever you choose, whether that is a weapon or armor. In the June twenty-fifth newsletter it details the form needed to be submitted.

Announcement: Sorry for short notice, but the Knighting of Mikael Valo will be tonight after the meeting for any who wish to stay and watch.

Q: There are people who wish to advance within the Smithy but have never recieved any projects or even get a chance to advance even if they have taken the required class. There are a few who have not had the class, but then received a project once in a blue moon. How does one get more projects to advance as currently it seems almost impossible when one never recieves any projects?
A (TiefIing): This is the reason for the sales, to allow the Smiths a chance to craft something. Since orders come from the guilds, more orders can not just be created. Thge plan is to hold a sale at least once a quarter, so that Smiths have the chance to advance.
Q (VincentSValentin): I have been in the Smithy since before the new year and yet once I have heard of any projects to be given out and according to the mandates, you can only make one enhancer at your level.
A (TiefIing): As for Smiths that have never taken a class and getting a project, that is not the case. You must take the Rune Enhancement class to be able to craft items in the Smithy.
Q (VincentSValentin): Well, I know of one who did receive a project but never took a class. He also quit the Smithy because he never received help or was able to get a private class worked out.
A (TiefIing): Which mandate are you referring, concerning only one enhancer at your level?
Q (VincentSValentin): Smith Sales - Point B "Each Smith may craft one item at their level for the sale. The choice of enhancer type ((offensive or defensive)), item, and name are completely up to the crafting Smith.
A (TiefIing): That pertains to sales only, and does not in any way effect an order from a guild. Orders are assigned to smiths on a random basis. When one comes in, I call in a Chancellor to witness as I draw the name from a pile from the list of those that have not had the chance to craft an enhancer yet.
Q (VincentSValentin): And that includes the ones who have not had the class yet?
A (TiefIing): No, the names are not added until they have taken the class. What is the name of the individual you speak of?
Q (VincentSValentin): Cloud BlackRose
A (TiefIing): I have no record of that person ever crafting an enhancer.
Q (VincentSValentin): He did not do it because he had not takent he class and let it sit till you gave him a lecture on it.
A (TiefIing): In the interest of moving this meeting along, we can continue this conversation after the meeting is adjourned.

Q: Can someone please pass me a copy of the Newsletter in question with the submission form for the Smithy Sale?
A (TiefIing): A new flyer will also be sent out soon.

Q: Concerning the Smithy Lottery, after a name is drawn, is it placed aside to give others a chance at crafting, or is it tossed back in with the next lottery?
A (TiefIing): Everyone is first given a chance to craft before names are placed back into the lottery.

Q: So with this list, it is possible someone could wait over half a year for their first project?
A (TiefIing): That is possible, yes.
